A green headquarters

Nature and biological diversity in and around our headquarters in Idstein.

We have moved away from paved paths at our headquarters in Idstein im Taunus. Ever since 2008, the pathways on our campus have been replaced by ecologically sound greenery – including bushes, trees, flowers and lawn areas. We have also had insect hotels since 2012, and there are also nesting and breeding aids as well as birdbaths on the premises.

Furthermore, together with the local task force “Blühendes Idstein“ (Idstein in bloom) , we replaced the roundabout just outside our main building, which formerly contained grit and gravel, with a flower bed in 2013: native plants now provide a home and plenty of nourishment to bees, bumblebees, butterflies and moths and are also a colourful sight to passers-by.

It goes without saying that we only use organic fertilisers in these areas – we are strongly against using any form of herbicides.
