The travelling group
Hi! We’re Elena, Isis, David and Marco, and we make up the perfect travelling group as we discovered on our 10-day train journey from Quebec in Canada to the Niagara Falls. We’re all students, and take photographs and videos, make scrap books and keep blogs of our trips. Our inspiration? The thrill of anticipation, including the joy of memories, will remain in your mind and heart as well as in your photos. But the best thing about it all is, of course, the trip itself, meeting new people, witnessing new perspectives, landscapes, architecture, food, smells ... you get the idea. Do you want to go too?
“What I found particularly great was standing on a hill in the middle of Toronto, and watching the sunset cast a pink glow over the city.”
East coast charm and glittering beauty
The sheer size of Canada means you having to make decisions even before your trip begins. Which part will you visit? We chose cities along the east cost and found that it was the best place to start a Canadian adventure. We flew from Frankfurt to Montreal and then took a small propeller plane to Quebec. It’s absolutely incredible how beautiful (and freezing!) this city is. We were lucky – it was dry and sunny, which meant we were able to spend a lot of time outside. On the first day, we took a ferry across the St Lawrence river and enjoyed panoramic views across the glittering ice floes.
The next day, we took the train to Montreal. You can’t believe your eyes in this city too. The skyline from our apartment is an absolute dream. We then discovered all the treats – i.e. maple syrup – the lovingly decorated small shops and vintage stores. On the second day, we went to Jean-Talon Marché and were in seventh heaven. Toronto can’t get any better, can it? We’ll find out before heading towards the final and, quite literally, biggest highlight of our trip – Niagara Falls.
