What opportunities does Jack Wolfskin offer its trainees? In our series “We at Jack Wolfskin”, we introduce employees from various areas of the company. Today, it’s Alena’s turn: she started as a trainee in clerical and and is now leading a team of five – enjoy reading!

"On August 1, 2012 I started my training as a commercial apprentice My main department was the back office and the reception, but I also got a great insight into all other commercial departments.

In January 2015, I successfully completed my training as an office communications clerk ahead of schedule. During my training I had the opportunity to get to know the Finance department and its tasks. I really liked it there and had a lot of fun! In September 2014 I was permanently assigned to Finance and was also taken on after my training. This department is my department of choice. Since then I have been working in the Retail Accounting team. We take care of the bookkeeping for about 90 stores. In addition to my work, I'm attending a preparatory course to become an audited accountant, for which I receive financial support from Jack Wolfskin. On 01.05.2018 I was promoted to team leader. I now lead a team of five. I enjoy the new challenge and I keep learning new things.

To me, Jack Wolfskin is like one big family. I had a good feeling from day one. It's fun to go to work because the working atmosphere is great. In addition to being taken seriously as an apprentice and taking part in regular trainee excursions, I also like the wide range of sports on offer at Jack Wolfskin.

I am a family person, train a children’s dance group in my spare time, take part in show dancing and like to go jogging outside."
