In our series “We at Jack Wolfskin”, we introduce employees/trainees from various areas of the company. Anna was a trainee in the transport department. She will give you a brief overview of her work there – enjoy reading!

"After successfully completing my training as a forwarding and logistics services agent in January 2016, I was taken on in the Transport department in the "Export" team. Here I was primarily responsible for shipments to non-EU countries such as Russia or the USA, but I also organised transports for trade fairs or other events. I was also involved in projects within the department.

As I am very interested in sea freight and customs, I was able to switch to the "Import" team in September 2017. I am now responsible for my allocated suppliers from various Asian countries. Organisation and coordination of the transports as well as customs clearance is part of our daily business. It gets very exciting and challenging in the sample phase when the samples of the new season have to be coordinated and monitored under time pressure. In close cooperation with the purchasing department, it is our responsibility to ensure that all shipments arrive on time for fixing.

Working at Jack Wolfskin is very varied and interesting. You can work independently in day-to-day business and also be part of small projects."
