We are the first Brand to have won the ISPO Award Eco Achievement!
Jack Wolfskin and all its employees are delighted about receiving the ISPO Award Eco Achievement. The ISPO, the world's largest trade fair for sporting goods and sportswear honours companies and brands for their commitment to sustainability. It marks the first time that a company has been given the award and underlines the pioneering approach to our ecological behaviour. Receiving the award is a confirmation of the path we have taken to put sustainable production into place and to offer environmentally-friendly alternatives to our customers. It is also an incentive to continue to align our business activity with ecological principles.
Jack Wolfskin puts the utmost value on transparency. You can read more about the company’s sustainability strategy at our Corporate Responsibility website. This strategy is based on the three pillars of social responsibility, environmental protection, and ethical principles as well as sustainable product design. We had already succeeded in making 75% of clothing PFC-free in the Summer 2015 collection – by 2020, this should be the case for the entire collection. For those who wish to find out more, there is plenty of information, test reports and FAQs about PFCs available on our website.
We are aware that we cannot achieve our goals alone. That’s why we have been working with different partners for a long time. We are supported by the bluesign® Systems in order to make every single step in production safer for people in factories and for the environment. Our partner, Fair Wear Foundation, has been supporting us since 2010 in implementing socially responsible, safer and fair working conditions in its global supply chain. Furthermore, we have only been using certified organic cotton since 2013.
