An active and sustained Sunday amongst colleagues in the fantastic setting of Rheingau was the destination of this year’s triathlon.
The participants were either able to take part in a relay with their colleagues or enter the competition as individuals.
After the bike check-in, our individual competitors plunged into the Rhine (temperature: 24.5°C) at 9 a.m. A 1,000 m swim, 39.5 km bike race and 10 km run formed the challenge – commonly referred to as the Olympic distance.
As well as six “packs”, there were 18 “relay wolves” who split up into all three disciplines and sweated it out for their colleagues.
The exhausted, yet proud Jack Wolfskin competitors received the following prizes:
- Third place, age group 3/individual sprint
- Third place women/relay sprint
- Second place mixed/relay sprint
- Second place women/Olympic relay
The triathlon was a complete success and we will definitely be back again in 2016!
